I'm at a point in my life that pets just don't fit. I've developed an allergy to cats. I do love cats and had them all my life, but between the tissues and the litter they just don't belong. Not a dog person. They are soooo much work. Fish gross me out and birds are a little freaky. With this said you would think frogs would be out of the question. You would be wrong. My household now includes 2 African Dwarf Frogs and their little snail friend. Yes, I am a complete pushover. What Miss A wants Miss A gets. Luckily they require like zero care. Feed twice a week and change water twice a year. I think we can handle it. Hubby put reminders on the computer so there is hope. The girls do want to feed them though so I'm a little scared to see what might end up in the tank.
So this week I'm working on sewing an outfit for Miss A. I found an adorable pinafore for Miss L on etsy so of course I ordered it. The seller doesn't make girls sizes so I bought the same fabric and was going to make Miss A a skirt. Well I didn't a have skirt pattern. Pants it is. Now I need a contrast fabric for the ruffle and to make some sort of top. Really would love to do a peasant top. We'll see what we end up with. In reality it's never as simple as the little plans I have in my head.
Pink and brown were on the way to my "I'm over it" bin. Then I saw this room in the newest PotteryBarnKids Catalog. I could eat it with a spoon. Miss L's room is all pink and white with mahogany furniture and this makes me want to switch it up. I won't. My goodness, I'm still not finished with this latest version. I'm actually pretty close. I just need to find a chair for one corner. I want to find an armed dining chair that I can paint white and recover in a pink and white damask. It would look so cute!!
